Have questions about baggage fees? Airline a la Carte to the rescue!

With the ever-evolving changes to the baggage fees in the airline industry, now there is a quick source to bring you the latest answers! Airline a la carte was founded by two airline employees in June 2008 when they noticed “there was a definite need for accurate, accessible information regarding airline fees.”

As current employees of a major airline, they expressed that they are “constantly hearing first-hand from passengers (& fellow employees) the confusion regarding all of the newly imposed fees….especially baggage fees.”

They felt that “most of the individual airline’s websites were very hard to decipher and the ‘fee charts’ provided by other travel sites were either inaccurate, out-dated or had very limited information. So we simply decided to start our own website that would give the flying public an updated, easy-to-read, guide to the ever changing world of baggage fees.”

The Airline a la carte story is not only a great resource for the traveling world, but is also a reminder that there are wonderful people who work in the airline industry that are truly trying to serve the customers.

Not every employee is the grouch you ran into on that chaotic trip you recall. In a hectic, imperfect, and often highly bureaucratic world, there ARE people behind the scenes working to bring positive change to the traveling experience. They often are the ones who absorb the constant complaints about the imperfections of the system, but rarely hear the gratitude for their role in the amazing experience of flight.

Next time you head to the airport, check out Airline a la carte for your baggage fee questions and say thank you to the unsung workers along your path.
