Venice videos — three visions taken from different points of view

These are three videos that capture the Venice that I love. They show the majestic buildings, the bridges that lace the city together, the campi where the people gather, the everyday life, the tattered posters, cracked plaster and bare bricks, night, day, vaporetti, gondole, crowds and silent canals.

This lead-off video was featured on the official website of Tourism Venice. The music is by Alessandro Safina, an Italian tenor turned pop star. I don’t know the name of the song, but it certainly fits the video.

This absolutely gorgeous video about Venice shows the city that I love and one where I have been blessed to have had the ability to spend time with. The videographer, matreyia, claimed

This city has a unique atmosphere of romance, relaxation side by side with daily hustle and bustle of tourism. Being there, I felt engulfed in the warmth of the sunlight and the mist of the ocean’s winds.
There wasn’t anything special I had to do as the city was so beautiful that I could almost close my eyes and turn my camera on to get great images.

The music, Rachael’s Song by Vangelis, is perfect.

The music to this video needs no introduction. Vivaldi personifies Venice. Concerts of his music are presented here and there throughout the city.
