The Consumer Travel Alliance has filed comments with the Department of Transportation and the FAA regarding the question about the request from Delta and USAirways to swap take-off and landing slots between them to enhance their relative positions at New York LaGuardia and Washington Reagan airports.
The organization also filed comments regarding the collection of ancillary fee data from the airlines, which will allow for better tracking of profits made because of these new added fees. The fee filing also asked for a new mishandled baggage calculation that takes into account the reduction of checked bags that has resulted from the introduction of checked-baggage fees.
