This weekend’s focus is on the fantastic. First we look at the fantasy of elegant dining while traveling on the NYC subway system, then a video spies on a criminal penguin getting ready for mating season and finally we see the facade of a staid parliament building in Bern, Switzerland, dance to a computerized light show.
Dining on the NYC subway
This amazing effort of serving a 6-course meal aboard the L Train New York subway car was conceived in the back of a car in Los Angeles. Managing to pull off the event was a major undertaking of preparation and perfect timing.

Bern, Switzerland, amazing light show, daily for 6 weeks
This fall, each evening for six weeks, Bern’s Parliament Square (Bundesplatz) will be transformed into a rendezvous for the senses. A 20-minute display of light and sound will awaken the facade of the Parliament Building, inviting spectators on an impressionistic journey through Switzerland – a land on the edge of tradition and innovation.
From October 14 through November 26, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. each day, Bern’s Parliament Square (Bundesplatz) is illuminated with a high-end experience of light and sound.
“Rendezvous Bundesplatz” is based on the theme of “Switzerland – on the edge of tradition and innovation” Through the magical combination of lights and computers, the facade of the Parliament Building seems to dance.
