What we’re watching: Stand by me, meet Santa in Finland, elves and TSA in Spokane

Stand by Me around the world
Karen Cummings sent this in. She looks at the version of Stand by Me as a travelogue of sorts. I have to agree.

Meet Santa in Finland

Visit Finland! There is simply no better country in the world to celebrate Christmas than Finland. This is after all the one and only true home of Santa Claus whose Arctic Circle Village near Rovaniemi is full of visitors at all times of the year, but especially during the coming festive season.

Elves passing through TSA in Spokane

Who says TSA doesn’t have a sense of humor (even if they can’t spell). Harriet Baskas blogs from a trip to the North Pole that left from Spokane, Washington. I discovered this through a post on the Talking Travelers forums.
