After three and half years, Steve Wynn’s Encore Hotel and Casino opened last night.
The 2,034-suite hotel has guest accommodations ranging from 700 square feet to 5,800 square feet with two arrival and check-in areas, five restaurants and a night club complete with a 10-foot rotating chandelier.
The spa has 37 treatment rooms, 14 naturally lit garden rooms, and four couples’ suites.
The Esplanade at the Encore has 11 shops with a wide range of products.
Think all this is beyond your means? Think again. HotelChatter is reporting that room rates have dropped 53 percent, starting at $199 a night through January, although you might be able to get it for $129 if you’re a Red Card member.
Wynn wanted to fill all the rooms, both at the Wynn and the Encore as well as keep his employees working. He said that “I will trade profit on the hotel business for job protection.” He has yet to lay off employees and he will make guest satisfaction his number one priority.
