Already, Travelers United has been responsible for the 24-hour rule that allows consumers to cancel or change reservations within 24 hours of making them. We successfully worked to increase the lost luggage compensation to $3,400 and the denied boarding penalties to $1,300 per passenger when bumped. Now, we are working on protecting privacy from drones, keeping the airlines from squeezing any more passengers into planes and making sure frequent flier programs are fair.

Uniquely American road trips
I asked a few dozen travel writers for their favorite lesser-known USA road trips and am thrilled with the resulting list of amazing American road trips. Any of these 16 road trips will be a wonderful addition to your summer vacation or a destination itself.
These zippers keep travelers safer
Little things sometimes make a big difference when it comes to travel safety. Like a strategically placed zipper to protect your belongings.
When “guaranteed late arrival” isn’t actually guaranteed.Years ago, many hotels would accept reservations without a credit card, but only hold the rooms until, say, 4 or 6 p.m. A credit card guaranteed late arrival, but also meant travelers that didn’t show up would be charged.
Vote on EU selfie ban set for Thursday
On July 6, the European Parliament will vote to possibly eliminate the “freedom of panorama” enjoyed by photographers in most of Europe. If passed it would require photographers to obtain permission to use building photos commercially, which even includes traveler selfies posted to Facebook.
